Yes this post is about the Bee Gees.

People forget that the Bee Gees started out as kind of a progressive psych folk band not unlike early Genesis and put out tons of material before their transformation into the quintessential disco act of the 1970s. Here are two early Bee Gees albums I found while digging at a thrift shop near my place. They are the third and sixth releases, from 1967 and 1969 on the Atco label, and are more or less forgotten because of the aforementioned career-defining turn away from rock music.  The Odessa gatefold sleeve is covered in red velvet and therefore extremely groovy.
